Course Highlights:

In this hands-on practicum:

  • Participants will explore the foundational principles of Fascial therapy, using the concepts of “ease and bind” as both assessment tools and therapeutic techniques. These techniques will be applied with variations of compression and tension in a tensegrity manner.
  • We will closely examine the intricate relationship between the Psoas and Diaphragm, understanding how they influence each other.
  • You will gain insight into the Psoas-Visceral relationship and learn techniques for visceral fascial applications. Structures affected will include the mesentery, ileocecal valve, sigmoid flexure, and the lateral abdominal fascia.
  • We will address femoral head joint centration and develop effective strategies for key DFL structures such as the adductor seam and fibular head.
  • Time permitting, we will explore the Diaphragmatic Crus and Faciform ligament and their impact on Psoas tension.

Steven Goldstein ,  has a B.A. in Education 1984, B. Health Science in Musculoskeletal Therapy 2007, is an American émigré to Australia residing in Melbourne, Australia since 1999. An innovative massage educator since 1992, instructing internationally his unique blend of direct myofascial, indirect osteopathic releasing methods and somatic bodywork approaches since 1995 known as Fascial Therapy, and director of the Fascial Therapy Institute Australia.
Steven is a frequent presenter at conferences in North America, United Kingdom, Middle East, India & Australia including: Club Physio South Africa, NHP Canada, SMTO Scotland, Massage and Myotherapy Australia, Australian Traditional Medicine Society, IRMA Myotherapy Association, Olympic Soft-Tissue Injury Forum, and the Bowen Federation of Australia BTFA.
