In preparation for the Lomi Lomi massage, the recipient would undergo a deep cleansing process which included taking herbal preparations, sweats in the steam vents of the volcano and bathing in the mineral enriched ponds of Hawaii.
It is believed that following the cleansing process, Lomi Lomi massage performed by multiple practitioners working at once, would allow the recipient to receive a vision for recognizing their life’s purpose.
